Moving Day

One of the primary functions of a Recreational Vehicle (RV) is to move. That is where the vehicle part comes in. RVs are not meant to remain stationary. They are meant to get out on the road and provide shelter for their users where ever those users wish to go. The vehicle part is also one of the things that makes RVs so much fun.

Some people view moving as a necessary evil and then there are those who find moving to be an event all unto itself. Vicky and I fall somewhere in between. We like moving all right. From policing the interior to make sure nothing falls during the traveling earthquake to emptying the holding tanks, to making sure everything is buttoned up correctly, to hitching up. It’s all part of the process and part of the adventure. There would be no journey without the logistics of the journey. And while Vicky and I are relatively new to the RV lifestyle, I have the feeling that moving is one of those activities where you constantly learn how to do it better.

Vicky is getting everything inside ready to move while I monkey around outside.
