Getting Ready to Go Again

So...time to hit the road again. We are planning a 10-stop tour of Texas State Parks beginning in February. We will be WalkAbout for two full months spending about a week at each site. So, we will need pull the RV out of storage and prep it for the excursion.

We have sampled a couple of Texas State Parks already and have always had a great time. Many of the parks we will be visiting offer full hookups and some are just water and electric. They usually have many points of interest nearby and some offer picturesque and easy walking trails. We will be staying in parks that, for the most part, are along the shores of a river or lake. Here in Texas they refer to rivers as lakes, so it might be a lake or it might not.

Anyway, we need to lay in supplies and make a few minor upgrades to the rig before we leave. I have a list of things that need fixing or improved, including LED lights in the pantry to illuminate each shelf, a more usable railing for the stairs up to the bedroom, and permanently mounting the antenna on the top of the rig for our cellular router setup. Also, a range of clothing will be needed because even in winter here in Texas the temperature can be way up or way down. So I will be pulling the RV out of storage on Friday and part it in front of the house for two days before we leave on Sunday.
